Insurance partnerships
HER Behavioral Health proudly works with Medicaid families throughout the DMV. We currently provide ABA services for eligible Maryland Medicaid members through Carelon Behavioral Health and work with eligible Medicaid coverage in Washington, DC.
Because insurance networks, eligibility, and ABA benefits can vary, our team will verify your child’s coverage and authorization requirements before services begin.

We are continuing to expand our insurance partnerships to make quality, community-based ABA services accessible to more families throughout Maryland, DC, and Virginia.
Additional funding options
Beyond health insurance, various programs and community resources may be available to help families afford disability-related services and supports, depending on eligibility and location.
Families may qualify for programs such as Medicaid waiver services, respite care, developmental disability supports, family support programs, assistive technology, transportation assistance, and other state or community-based resources.
For example, Maryland offers Autism and Developmental Disabilities waiver programs that may provide additional home- and community-based supports to eligible individuals and families. Washington, DC also offers Home and Community-Based Services waiver programs for eligible individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
HER Behavioral Health is happy to help families identify resources and connect with appropriate agencies when possible. Eligibility and available benefits vary by program.
